Mahmoud Gharib develops investment strategies, executes investment mandates, and assists in decision-making for asset-based vehicles. He implements IFRS 9 and provides financial consultancy services. He has experience in managing portfolios for over 30 companies.

Prior to joining Haykala, Mahmoud was, Group Risk and Deals Manager where he evaluated potential business risks and developed preventative measures. He determined and prepared risk appetites, budgets and reports, while also measuring and evaluating the economic feasibility of deals. As a Senior Investment Analyst at Cairo Capital Securities, he conducted equity research including Financial Modelling and Financial Analysis for the Asset Management Team. Prior to this, he was a Financial Consultant at Nexia International in Egypt where he provided investment and financial consultancy services including feasibility studies business planning preparation, assets and business valuation, modelling, and corporate restructuring. He started his career as an Investment Analyst in Absolute Financial Advisors.

He holds a BSc in Accounting & Finance from Zagazig University and a Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst Certification (FMVA) from the Corporate Finance Institute. He completed a portfolio selection and risk management course at Rice University (USA).
